mrontemp: Robert Scoble and 20,000 People Walk Into a Bar (or, what I learned during the Twit-Out about Twitter vs. FriendFeed conversations)

Shey · 1 year agoWow that was awesome and I am thoroughly entertained!
-
Guest · 1 year agoThat was really funny. Made me smile. I was also following the above conversation (kinda) on friendfeed over the last few days and you captured the feeling very well.

ontarioemperor · 1 year agoThanks to all of you. I still haven't had a chance to read what others said about the Twit-Out, especially those who were specifically trying to use FriendFeed as a substitute for Twitter.

NBabyak · 1 year agoThank you for the laugh! What a great way to describe the event... and the more I use FF the more I want them to fix the multiple table challenge... but that doesn't change how much I enjoyed having someplace to gather when the bar was closed :-)!

ontarioemperor · 1 year agoThanks for the Digg, by the way.

Sally Church · 1 year agoBrilliant, I loved it, especially the bit about the Red Sox :)

ontarioemperor · 1 year agoI forget how it happened, but I ended up following a whole bunch of Red Sox fans on Twitter, right around World Series time. So for some reason, whenever I think of passionate sports fans, I think of people in Boston. I was also amused by Doug Haslam's post about how he has become one of the leading Google search terms for the word "dough." (Incidentally, last I checked, he had dropped to number 6.)

Puneet Thapliyal · 1 year agoThat was a good one. You should write a play about this. I could imagine Robert Scoble going around tables carrying his Nokia and streaming live to Qik. And Michael Arrington half drunk going around shouting -- "Fuck you too, Wired!".

ontarioemperor · 1 year agoAs long as Loren Feldman's puppets don't make an appearance. That could get ugly.
